Basics
While he may not be my #1 ranked shortstop in the class (that would be Ethan Holliday), Kayson Cunningham is my favorite among the large group of shortstops who have first round grades on them.
This past spring Cunningham hit an impressive .509 with 23 extra base hits and 21 steals. That follows being named the Tournament MVP with the 18U National Team last summer. He followed up that senior season with a strong showing at the combine.
One note that is a red flag on Cunningham for some teams, including the Braves, would be the fact he is older for the class, having turned 19 at the end of June.
